Doing Words: Jobs admits: DRM doesn’t work for music

Alternatively, Jobs is just being super-cute so he can say to the Euro regulators "hey, guys, it ain't me wants this DRM stuff, it's those muppets at Warner-EMI-Sony who don't get it, so jive daddio." Or something. I don't believe that Jobs is a sponsor of open media; he's refused to license the OSX code to other manufacturers, ferchrissake. He's a control freak. In a bad turtleneck.

No less a learned journal than The Economist now says that Jobs is right and it would be best for the music industry to sell their content DRM free - yay!
